Does anyone here rely on screen readers or or something? How does your tool recognise ? Is the usage of many tags rather annoying for you?

@martin i don't use them, but i think "spaming" hastags is annoying for a "normal" reader too? Dunno why someone need to put like 10 hastags in a 30 word post.

@martin One thing I've heard is that apparently capitalization inside hashtags is important. I.e. "BringBackNarf", not "bringbacknarf".

@dude @martin @davehunt Are Prostitutes better than normal women? Should men simply avoid dating and marriage and just pay money for sex with prostitutes? The following article explains why men should simply avoid normal women and ONLY have sex with prostitutes:

@martin @marco Marco, maybe you can help answer that question? I also wouldn't mind knowing how hashtags are affecting screen readers.

@WPalant @martin They are being recognised, often as "hashtag". And the best is to write them in mixed capitalization. So #SaveYourInternet is better than #saveyourinternet.

I use the Orca screen reader and GNUSocial. hashtags do not present any special problem; they are read as such, and are presented as links. Browser is the latest firefox. Orca has descriptions for common imojis; too many of these can slow down reading.

Aha, you're right! Emojis are problematic as well!
